Our exciting journey begins on the 17th August 2019 flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I will attempt to document what it is like to live out of a backpack and explore the world on a budget (this should be interesting). We intend to travel to South East Asia and South America but are open to go with the flow to enjoy what the world has to offer.
I am honestly shocked that we don’t have a fixed itinerary as everyone knows that I LOVE to plan (maybe a bit too much?!) My family and friends will be laughing in disbelief that I’ve said I’m happy to “go with the flow”. Okay… I admit that I will probably pack far too many unnecessary items but I am genuinely excited by the prospect of being a free spirit.
I had been brainstorming ideas for a travel blog name for a while and this one came to me in an inspired thought. I was certain that I would be the first Wander Woman 👣 but I am obviously not as creative as I like to think, as there are other blogs with this name!
I have also decided to call my travelling partner Wander Man 🧔🏻 (with or without his permission). He has already joked about the content of my blog … “Are you witty enough though? Like you’re marginally funny.” OK thanks HUN appreciate the support. I find myself funny (who doesn’t like R.E. and cheese jokes?!) but clearly it’s not to everyone’s taste – pun intended. 🧀
I’m most looking forward to living in the present moment and fully embracing the gift of life. I hope to regularly practice yoga, meditation and mindfulness and immerse myself in different cultures. I am also excited about the small things like living a basic(ish) life with minimal belongings. Although…I might regret saying that when I look a bit wild?!
This year away should give us the space to gain perspective and grow as individuals. I like to reflect on my experiences so this blog will also serve as my personal journal and a memory record. I hope that you all enjoying reading my posts as it is written as much for you as it is for me! I can’t begin to describe how much I will miss all of you. Thank you all for being a part of my life story so far and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you all!

I just want to say, who even is Wander Man if he doesn’t think Wander Women is funny… he will soon find you hilarious when his plastered all over your blog doing yoga positions Haha.
Good luck on your new adventure. I will miss our morning miracles and sleepovers but I hope you have the most amazing time.

Aw Jessie! The name got me 😂. Conor has to live up to you! I kept annoying him in Croatia saying “Me & Jess went there” and will definitely be doing the same in Kuala Lumpar. This blog is already amazing and you haven’t even begun on your travels yet!
It is very true, I’m am shocked that you do not have a plan but I know you will love being a free spirit and going wherever the wind takes you!
You are literally going to have the best time and I’m so happy and proud of you for doing this!
There will be tough times but they are nothing compared to the amazing times you will experience!
Remember England is always here and nothing changes so as much as I will miss you stay and love life for as long as you can!
I hope you do become a yoga teacher and come back and teach me a few moves!
I’m going to miss you so much, but I want daily updates (well at least weekly) as I want to feel like I’m on this travel with you knowing your every move!
Miracle mornings won’t be the same without you but we will keep our positive chat going and all stay in the loop!
I should hopefully be out to see you in the Phillipines for some madness and some chilled times!

My little bundle of joy,
This year is gonna suck for everyone who loves you but will be the most life changing year for you. I would say the experience will make you a better person but that’s a ludicrous statement as you’re already the best version of you. I will miss our catch ups, karaoke of Disney songs(“what can I say, except your welcome”), dancing round my kitchen, discussing RuPaul, cuddles and so much more. The year will fly by so I won’t have to wait long to see your smooshy face again!!! Until you leave we have all kinds of fun booked in 😀
Finding you at Beal and becoming your co-tutor will be one of the highlights of my life.

Wander Woman… we meet again.
How very very exciting ! You are gonna make so many amazing memories in that year and see so many awesome places. I can’t wait to read all your updates and see photos. I know you will probably miss home and all it’s little luxuries like flushing toilet paper, an insect free room and walking for 10 minutes outside without becoming drenched in sweat ! But enjoy every minute because it’s a once in a lifetime experience and the good times will definitely outweigh the bad. Have fun, try the local food, stay safe and keep hydrated. Just be the best Wander Woman that you can be ! X

I can’t believe you have actually left im going to miss you So much it’s going to take time for it to sink in because I still can’t Believe it’s actually happened ! it’s one of those things – i’m so sorry that I cried so much I messed up my makeup lol but I couldn’t help myself today It was so hard to leave I even asked Mr O’Donnel if I could say goodbye for the last time 🙈but he wouldn’t let me and I just had to walk home crying with Zainab reassuring me 😢 but I can’t express how much I’m going to miss you And seeing you around and having funny moments and catch ups and always question how God is Omniscient in lessons Lool and I’m probably going to have a little cry in RS next year but I try my very best to keep myself together 😂 besides that have an amazing time and I hope you come back with new experiences and memories and we can have coffee and catch up in the near future 😉xxxx
